There’s an enigma woven into my Floating Ropes story. In these designs, the ropes seem to take on a life of their own—twisting, turning, and weaving into hands that echo both creation and transformation. Where do they begin, and where do they end? Fully hand-drawn, this artwork possesses a poetic, meditative grace, capturing the fluid motion and timeless essence of ropes.

Floating Ropes is the origin story of MYKLÉ. Growing up by the sea, I developed an intimate connection to ropes—an essential element of maritime life, as vital as the boats themselves. Ropes have also played a storied role in print design throughout history, embodying strength, utility, and beauty.

One of humanity’s oldest inventions, ropes have been a cornerstone of civilization, shaping our journey through innovation. From securing ships and constructing monuments to enabling artistic and practical pursuits, they symbolize resilience and ingenuity. These scarves pay homage to that legacy, transforming this timeless tool into a narrative of elegance and new beginnings.
